Pair of Smoked Kippers
Kippers (kippered herring) are whole fish that have been split apart, left on the bone, soaked in brine and smoked to preserve them giving them a delicious wood fired smokey flavour.
They are a great source of the essential fatty acids; Kippers contain about 0.2 to 0.7 grams of the fatty acids per serving. Omega-3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory and are good for your heart.
W. Harvey & Sons kippers are ideal baked, grilled, jugged (immersing in a jug of boiling water for ten minutes or so) or barbecued, remove the head and tail first. Make sure you line your cooking pan with foil to save on washing up later.
