DELIVERY
Our minimum order value is £45.
We offer FREE delivery on weekdays and there is a £10 charge for Saturday deliveries. These apply to orders placed via the website only. If you place your order over the phone there is no free delivery option. If are ordering by phone and would like to know the delivery charge please ask the member of staff you are speaking too.
Delivery is available to addresses in mainland England, mainland Wales and most of mainland Southern Scotland. We cannot accept orders for delivery beyond Elgin in Scotland, or the Scottish Islands, or the Isle of Man, or the Islands off England as they take extra time to deliver. If the checkout doesn’t let you continue after entering your delivery postcode and address then unfortunately we cannot deliver to this area.
However, if you give us a call on 01736359033 we can check your postcode manually and add it to the system if a “Next Day Service” is available.
You select a delivery date that is convenient for you when at the checkout, up to 2 weeks in advance!
We use a “Next Day Service” with DPD. This service is not available on Sundays, Mondays, Bank Holidays and during our Christmas close down. Please be patient with delivery drivers during busy periods.
Please don’t worry if it’s a little later, this won’t affect the quality of the contents which can stay cold for up to 48 hours.
If your order is for a special occasion, we recommend taking your order the day before to ensure you have plenty time to receive it and prepare as planned.
On the day of despatch, you will receive an email/text notification from DPD to let you know your parcel is en route. On the morning of your delivery, DPD will send you notification of an approximate 1-hour delivery time slot – this should reach your email/text by 11am.
DPD will leave your parcel in a safe place. You can also use the tracking information from DPD to make changes to your parcel.
If DPD delay your parcel our packaging can keep the contents cold for up to 48 hours and DPD will attempt delivery the next day. Please inspect the contents of your delayed parcel and contact us if you have any concerns.
Orders are packed with gel-ice packs in our bespoke double walled cardboard boxes and insulated pads system, sealed, and labelled.
With the aim to reduce our carbon footprint and with the feedback from our customers who weren’t happy with how much packaging was left for them dispose of after they received their order, we no longer use polystyrene boxes. They are bulky and not readily recyclable.
Our new 100% kerbside recyclable bespoke cardboard boxes and insulation pads were tested extensively before going into action!
Yes!
Our cardboard delivery box and insulated pads are produced using recycled material and are recyclable either by kerbside collection, or at local authority waste depots.
The gel ice packs can be reused at home which we highly recommend! The gel is created from FDA & EU food safe natural salt-based polymer which has no negative environmental issues – perfectly safe to touch and dispose of even in a domestic environment. Unfortunately, despite being made of totally of recyclable materials, they are not yet fully recyclable at recycling centres in the UK. Many are not yet fully equipped to separate the component materials for recycling.
