WHOLESALE ORDERS
W. Harvey & Sons has been wholesaling Cornish shellfish since the business started way back in 1955. We regard a wholesale customer as a trading business, be it working seasonally or all-year-round, in the UK or EU, working from a mobile van(s) or fixed premises such as other Wholesalers/Trading companies, Public Houses, Restaurants, Cafes and Hotels etc. Quantities range from 5kg for collection and 25kg for delivery, in combinations of single and or multiple product types, live and or cooked/ processed products. For credit account customers, character and finance references are strictly required, along with satisfactory credit agency checks ‘Receipt of funds before despatch’ terms are offered to new and infrequent customers. Electronic, debit or credit card payments are preferred.

W. Harvey & Sons Shellfish Merchants, with over 65 years of experience in the Shellfish Industry, are committed to looking after and helping our customers. We regard them as an extension of our business. A simple quality threshold is operated: if we aren’t happy enough to take our products home ourselves, we will not sell them. A range of live, fresh cooked, cooked and pasteurised, frozen and customisable products are sold to suit all needs and price points.
Company directors Julian, Matthew and William Harvey see their main task as managing their wholesale customers. New customers are inducted into the order, production and delivery process. They check the products are suitable for customers and offer alternatives. Regular contact is made to build up a profile of each of our customers, the products they like and how their business operates. We like to give the personal touch and treat our wholesale customers as we like to be treated.

Our Shellfish Shop Gurus Tressa and Damon also manage the sales of freshly caught shellfish and seafood to the many local Seafood Bars, Pubs, Bistros, Cafes and Restaurants in Newlyn, Penzance and the surrounding areas.
Their product knowledge is second to none and they pride themselves on ensuring business owners receive a friendly yet swift and efficient service, enabling you to return to your customers. For customers further afield, products are sent via courier overnight to receive by noon the following day.

Our Cooked & Processed Packing Team is led by Darren who has over 40 years of service and has worked in just about every department. He has honed packing and despatching our wholesale orders down to a fine art, complying with our full HACCP program and helping to ensure the integrity and chill-chain of our products at every stage.
Deliveries are made throughout the UK on specialist fish transporters DFDS or Cornwall Transport. For low weight UK orders we use a courier for an ambient next day by noon service. EU road consignments are taken by Transport Mesguen for onward distribution via Boulogne. EU air consignments are sent via Interparcel.

W. Harvey & Sons is a leading South West provider of high quality shellfish. Our products are in great demand throughout the UK and Europe with sales between Moscow and the Canaries. Beautiful fresh seafood can be delivered to our customers door within one or two days. All our products are treated with the upmost care and attention.
We only hand process our various crab meat with care and attention to leave a natural looking product; no shell or waste mixed within the meat; naturally moist (no added water); enticing/ nice to eat; you can tell what type of meat it is; no preparation time is required and ready to serve; vibrant colour is retained; all natural; just as nature intended. This is why people work with us.
Our phone lines are open 8:00am to 5:00pm on weekdays only. Calls are automatically attended, passing you to the right department. If you are unsure, please stay on the line and we will assist you.
