Cornish Winkles
Winkles also know as the common periwinkle are foraged by a local team of dedicated hand gathers in the Cornish estuaries, the Winkles are purged at our storage tanks and kept in perfect conditions before shipment.
Winkles only need to be cooked for 4-5 minutes, then eaten with a pin or cocktail stick/toothpick. The tool choice is yours! The flesh is sealed in with a small disc which you can flick out with your chosen tool then hook out the flesh. Easy! It just takes time, and is worth lingering on – slow, local food at its best.
You might also like to dip your winkle into hot butter, mustard, or mayonnaise. Alternatively, shell winkles in the kitchen and toss into a stir-fry or give them a garnishing role in many kinds of fish dishes.

Storage:
