We have been wholesaling Cornish shellfish since our business started way back in the 1950's. We regard a wholesale customer as a trading business, working seasonally or year round, in the UK or EU, working from a mobile van(s) or fixed premises such as other Wholesalers / Trading companies, Public Houses, Restaurants, Cafes and Hotels etc. Quantities for collection range from 5 Kg and for delivery from 25 Kg, in combinations of single and or multiple product types, in live and or cooked/ processed products. For credit account customers, character and finance references are strictly required, along with satisfactory credit agency checks. "Receipt of funds before despatch" terms are offered to new and infrequent customers. Electronic, debit or credit card payments are preferred.
WHOLESALE CUSTOMER DEVELOPMENT
W. Harvey & Sons Shellfish Merchants, with 60 years experience in the Shellfish Industry, are committed to looking after and helping our customers, who we regard as an extension of our business. A simple quality threshold is operated: if we aren't happy enough to take our products home ourselves we will not sell them. A range of live, fresh cooked, cooked and pasteurised, frozen and customisable products are sold to suit all needs and price points.
Paul, Julian and Matthew Harvey main tasks are managing their wholesale customers. New customers are inducted into the order, production and delivery process, they check products are suitable for customers and offer alternatives. Regular contacts are made to build up a picture of each of our customers, we like to give the personal touch.
WORKING WITH LOCAL SEAFOOD BARS & RESTAURANTS
One of our Shellfish Shop Supervisor Kai's roles is to manage sales to our many local Seafood Bars, Pubs, Bistros,Cafes and Restaurants. Our products are always near to his hands and he has a great wealth of knowledge. He takes pleasure in ensuring you receive friendly, yet swift and efficient service, enabling you to return to your customers. For customers further afield Kai sends via APC on an overnight by Noon service.

FRESHLY PACKED - WHOLESALE
Our Cooked & Processed Packing Team, Keith and Darrin, have racked up over 60 years service between them and have worked in just about every department. They have honed packing and despatching our wholesale orders down to a fine art, complying with our full HACCP program and helping to ensure the integrity and chill-chain of our products at every stage.
Deliveries are made throughout the UK on specialist fish transporters DFDS or Cornwall Transport. For low weight UK orders we use APC, an ambient next day by noon service. EU road consignments are taken by Transport Mesguen for onward distribution via Boulogne. EU air consignments are sent via Interparcel.
HIGHER QUANTITY ORDERS
1) 60 years experience in high quantity orders: live, cooked fresh, cooked pasteurised or cooked frozen.
2) Orders in excess of 250 Kilos are sent daily.
3) Multiple pallet orders are sent weekly.
4) Access to over 100 boats all fishing in Clear Atlantic waters.
5) We employ a large Traditionally skilled workforce in well maintained facilities using modern equipment.
6) High quantity enquiries are always welcomed, all handled with the personal touch!
